Art world A-Listers unite for Grenfell charity auction

I've been helping my friend, art advisor Lucy Meakin,  to publicise an auction she's organised with Artsy and 25 leading British contemporary artists including Cornelia Parker, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Ian Davenport, Michael Craig-Martin and Tracey Emin.  The auction will raise money for the Evening Standard's dispossessed fund for survivors of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire.  Thank you to the FT How To Spend It for featuring the auction.  Read the full article here:  https://howtospendit.ft.com/art/201271-art-world-a-listers-unite-for-grenfell-charity-auction

Trish Wylie to reveal major solo exhibition at John McAslan + Partners in October 2017

Trish Wylie presents a solo exhibition of new work examining female stereotypes and the perception of ageing in Western society, by reimagining the traditional hero of iconic Cowboy movies and putting her own image into the frame.  The exhibition is from 5th October to 10th November, 2017 at William Road Gallery, John McAslan + Partners.  At a time in history when women around the world have risen up to take control of their own destinies, culminating in the Women’s March on Washington in January 2017, which drew bigger crowds than the inauguration of U.S. President Trump, and was echoed in cities all over the globe, many artists including Wylie are channeling this post-feminist energy into their practice. See preview at:  https://www.artslant.com/lon/events/show/449548-trish-wylie-i-rose-madder
